The Bet

Don sat at his favorite sports bar, just enjoying his beer and watching the game. Chicago was in a tie with Cincinnati with three minutes left of the first quarter. He sat alone, occasionally eyeing one of the pretty women that walked by with a large boyfriend or husband. He, on the other hand, sat alone with a tap brew and his thoughts.

How it would be nice to have one of them on my arm, he thought. Any of these gorgeous ladies paying attention to him would quickly turn his world around. Washing down his own woes, he took another pull from the large glass and waited for the next snap of the ball.

That's when she walked in.

This tall drink of redheaded water strolled into the bar by herself and scanned the room for an empty seat. There was one next to Don, and three others by other single men. Don gazed at her lengthy beauty and hoped she might sit at the bar next to him. All the other men noticed her too, so Don said a silent prayer that she might pick his open stool.

She walked through the bar, eyeing each seat and who was next to them. Seeing Don's as the best choice, she walked up and asked if she could sit next to the short single man. Don squeaked out a "yes, of course," and mentally lashed himself for sounding so mousy.

The tall vision set her purse on the bar and took a seat. Don watched her sit, studying every aspect of her curvy, toned ass and long legs protruding from her evening dress. Looking up, she had a great set of breasts where a necklace lay inbetween the voluptuous cups.

Finally, her face was made from the Gods, curtained by long flowing red hair. She extended her hand and introduced herself.

"I'm Angela," she said in a smoky tone. Don took her slender hand in his own and responded in kind.

"I'm Don," he replied, clearing his throat. "Are you here waiting for someone?"

"No, I decided to come in after working the convention in town all day. I didn't want to stay in my hotel room. What's the score?" she asked, pointing to the TV above their heads.

"It's tied, about to go into the second quarter." Don couldn't believe such a classy beauty as Angela would care about a man's game of football.

"Do you have any money riding on this game?" she continued.

"No, I just enjoy the game. I'm not much of a betting man."

"Well, I love to wager. Care to make a bet on the game with me?" Don's eyes perked up, and he faced her to listen more.

"Let's bet on the game. I'll take Chicago, and you can have Cincinnati. If you win, I'll take you to a late dinner after the game, your choice of restaurant. And if I win, you can kiss my ass." Don didn't know how to take that last comment, and his eyes narrowed.

She laughed at his expression. "Don't take it the wrong way. I like you. I meant it in the literal sense. I saw you peeking at my ass, and I'm wondering what your lips on it would feel like."

"Why bet on it," Don said, "I'd do that for you for free, without a bet!" He took another drink and waited for her response.

"No, I like the idea of a bet. It intensifies the expectation. However, if I win, you have to agree to kiss my ass under my terms. I am still a lady, you know." He agreed, and they shook on it.
