At the risk of getting this way off topic....

Yes an enchantment is considered a permanent, which by definition stays on the field until removed by a spell or an effect.

While I agree with ThePlayThing that it should more than likely have been written as an instant instead, we would then need to reword the card to read: "Target female creature gains +9/+9 and trample until end of turn."

Of course as ThePlayThing also pointed out, the other option would be simply to make this an Enchantment - Aura, in which case it would say: "Enchant female creature. Enchanted creature gets +9/+9 and trample."

For three mana making an aura out of this would be a bad thing. Tribal decks aren't uncommon. This would make a female deck (if they existed) very broken.

If we're getting into physics here, that galaxy is likely in the ball park of ~100,000 Light years across right? So for their to be any noticeable change with the naked eye, it would at least take years at that scale, and that's at light speed. so if the man were 6ft tall but look 0.39 inches to her and assuming shes at the average female height of 5ft 6in then she would be 169.2307692307692 times his size but lets just round that down to 169.2.

I think it's for the same reason that people make reasons that, while they may not be realistic, they allow for a general fantastical amount of "reasoning" when it comes to why a person has shrunken or grown. Some people do it for story purposes, other people just basically say "oh well it's because she's a super villain demoness" and so on. I mean, it's silly, the organ removal thing, but it's just something to shrug at more than anything else. For the same reason that the original poster said "that's not how it works" before the "reasoning" behind it came to light.

TL;DR, it's a double edged sword and you can't win either way.
