Obviously, the giga-scale can no longer have a "realistic" explanation like a giantess or even mega-giantess, so the cosmic/supernatural element is appropriate: the sun's radiation is something I also like to imagine, but one can even go further and say that it also feeds on the radiation of the nearest stars, those that are rejected by the solar wind but somehow the giga-giantess queen manages to absorb them.

It's not so far-fetched to think that a couple might decide to have sex without worrying about the two evil giantesses destroying everything.
Ironically, that situation seems the most realistic in the story.
By the way, I love the multi-size aspect, and other justifications could be used in the case of one giantess being larger than another: for example, Katelyn's immune system reacts differently to serum than Daphne's.
