I believe (from my knowledge of the Internet and past college experiences of technology) everything has a code. Every picture, every letter typed, everything. I bet the system uses a code reader. If the code for two pictures are the same, then it will say "Duplicate". If the picture is a different size or different code (somehow) it won't see the duplicate. It is not a scanner, it's all about code.

How long has the system been the same? How many pictures were there to begin with?

Anatomy is always something difficult if you aren't that experienced, specially with some points of view, because of how the body is 'deformed'.

Just remember to keep practising and if you need photos for reference, look at them, see how the points of view work... The path of the artist is quite long, but it's worth the effort.

And not only pretty colors make things look cool. As I say: practise and fix your mistakes, combine what you know with new things. Never give up.
