I think the voting system might be just a new feature to pave the way for filters yet to come.
perhaps like you say, some option could be arising to allow users to browse images in order of highest scores etc?

Either that or for the sake of artists interested in feedback, a simple nod or shake of approval/disapproval can do a load of good :)

Not to be mean or anything, but I dislike the voting system. What is the point? Unless there will be another page that orders them from the highest to lowest (which could also be for the favorites) I see no point is having them.
