If you really want some advice, the best piece I can give you is this: imagine you're watching a movie in your head, and it's your job to use words to describe it to your readers. Envision all five senses of what your characters are going through: sight, sound, taste, touch, and hearing. The more you do that, the more you put your readers right in the action.
