It seems he's changing tags to images he's favourited. He'll be warned before we look to have him removed though. For now Mark, don't worry about changing all the tags, the synonym editor should have marked all those images pretty clearly anyway. And likely there is a one hit fix for all the images he's touched in the Admin panel, so for now I'd just let it be. You discovered the trend, so nice job! ^^

This must end, and though I don't agree with your way of thinking Toho, I won't press the issue regarding elitist fan bases. However please refrain from bringing that here to the Booru, as this type of behavior I might expect to see on GiantessCity, it does not need to be displayed here.
We get on the members cases for acting disrespectful toward other members, you can bet that will go double for any mods caught doing this exact thing. You're held to a higher standard than that, so I ask that you leave your own prejudices out of commenting here.
It is perfectly fine that you feel you shouldn't have or need to translate for anyone, nobody is asking you to. But people coming forward to translate works for the community as a whole has always been encouraged here, and will continue to be.

Just be respectful, it's easy.

grdasky so you think I'm an ass and don't like my tone of voice to other more lurker like members? Sorry I'm just a Touhou fan, the community it quite Elitist and we don't take kindly to non fans. I am blunt, you can ask a few other Mods here, but it's only directed at this particular type of art. I don't translate these works because I am fluent in Japanese for one, and because I sort of feel only Touhou fans should enjoy the work sadly. Its dick-ish yes, but hey that's how Zun likes it small fandom community.

1) "...find someone willing too."
I do believe he said "english please", which is a request to the community to provide a translation. That is him trying to find someone willing to (notice here that it is not "too").

2) "Be grateful"
I do believe he said "english please". Notice the please. It is a request, not a demand.

3) "if you want one translate it"
If he could translate it himself, he would not need a translation.

I think the confusion here is you believe he was asking the artist to translate his work. You fail to see that this comments section would suffice enough to post a translation.

"I translated things in the past"- You have just proven that you are very capable of providing a translation for this image. But instead of helping a fellow macrophilian or just leaving it be, you just had to be, as Oktober put it, "disk-ish".

So I'll do my best to translate it. Keep in mind that I am not fluent in Japanese, in fact very much a beginner. And I'm not into the Touhou series, so I'll probably miss any jokes/sayings/whatever that have to do with it.

Not saying it wouldn't be the requested language choice. But this artist doesn't translate his work, that said all I'm saying is be grateful for what there is. As for a translation if you want one translate it, or find someone willing too. I translated things in the past but stopped, because I had no need too.

I guess it all depends on the persons tastes, the style and quality of image. I have no clue why some people fantasize about things I know are genuinely unpleasant such as being harmed. I just say okay and move on. When I see images like this one I just look at the woman and if she is hot then I like it.
