Ah, the curse of not being able to communicate with non-english artists. =(
(Also Manzi and Hakuto managed to pull it off in SH1, there was only 3 main artists in SHG IIRC so its not like it was a HUGE difference in terms of # of artists)
It would REALLY suck if they had that mentality. "Oh, they got Ochiko and that other relatively famous pixiv artist working on this; I don't need to try too hard on these"
Then Ochiko's like "Oh they got Kanahebi and that other dude on this shit. I can just draw some squiggly, weak-ass shit and nobody will notice/care."

Perhaps Kanahebi didn't see a POINT to put efforts in Shrink High Gaiden, especically that project was involved with too many distinguishing artists & groups as well as too many different tastes. It was hard to please all wasn't it.
(BTW I just think Ochiko was the same here, which maybe could explain the undesirable quality of all those cgs back there.)

As for him trying to match the quality of other artists working on it... you might have a point, Ochiko's CGs were even more disappointing in it tbh. Funnily enough the best artist on the project wasn't even a size artist.
