Sorry is, not seeing the big quality difference. It may also have been an attempt by kanahebi to tryand match general quality with the other artists in that project.

And sorry Jumbo, I wasn't replying to you. Should have been more clear.

"Quick, get Mark Wahlberg and that guy with a hotdog fetish quick!"
Oh the things that are said without context around these parts.
Too funny.

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE HATE YOUR HANDS?!

Fun fact: I actually have a serious phobia about something happening to my hands or fingers.

Ik that the picture was put up again, I just forgot to put that in my original comment, sorry about that ^^'
I guess we will all have to wait and see what Katelyn does. Though doc has a very good idea, why not have a donation system? I mean I have been around for the most part since the beginning of giantessbooru. Hell I was around when this was still Sizebooru (before it shut down and Katelyn brought back to life) and I wouldn't mind donating a few bucks.

Also doc, make that 5 people who hurt there hands, not 4. I smashed 2 of my fingers in a cash register at my work a couple days ago and holy shit it still hurts like hell :/

My issue with the whole 'think it might possibly be underage = deleted' is how vague the criteria are for things getting deleted.
Girls who clearly look older than other girls in images posted on this site are getting deleted, while some others, who clearly look young (possibly underage) are allowed to stay.
Case in point- something like this- http://giantessbooru.com/post/view/169274? being allowed to stay
Versus something like this-
http://imgur.com/U3VrNlB
being censored
I have many more examples, that's just one of 'em.

Classic Doc. Geared up and ready to start a war with half story in his head.

Let me preface this with an apology and an explanation. First and foremost, I still didn't mean to pick deliberately at anyone specific and especially not Mark. I think it's safe to say that he's probably the main reason this site doesn't arse over and collapse into the dirt. I posted last night when I was tired and had a bunch of other minor shit piling up; this was the ridiculous straw that broke the camel's back. Ultimately it could have been solved with a PM in the right place, so for deliberately stirring up shit, I sincerely apologise. Things were disappearing without warning. With reference to earlier comments, too, this isn't the first and only time I'd seen it happen and not just concerning my own comments, so without knowing Mark was trying to save his busted hand a bit of trouble I was free to conjure all manner of conspiracy about what was going on behind the scenes.

(Seriously, though, Mark. What is it with people and their hands lately? I know three people - you make four - who have seriously injured a finger or hand in the last two days. What's everybody suddenly got against their digits? I smell an M. Night Shyamalan movie in the works. Fingers crossed for you, chief... no joke intended.)

That being said, after deliberating on whether to PM all this to Mark first or to post it, I made the choice to post it publicly because I have a twisted sense that it'll actually result in a net positive. When Mark mentions my tendency to throw gas on the fire? I also like to throw out the baby with the bath water, smash the fly with the sledgehammer and other metaphors for going in full throttle, usually at the expense of the moment. This is, I think, a discussion that ultimately needs to be happening somewhere. It's probably one that'd work far better on a forum or similar, but we do what we can with what we've got.

Which brings me to Mark's point about inactive mods. That's exactly what I meant about the likes of those who really shouldn't be on that list. There's names I see cropping up regularly going 'Bumped!' or 'Fixed tags!' and props to them. As I said already, I've done volunteer positions online before and it's a thankless, grinding job against what seems like the tidal wave of inhumanity that people can drum up against an unseen force they believe is set against them. But if it feels as though you're dragging along dead weight into that task, too, it might be time to tap the glass, see who wakes up and flush the goldfish that aren't swimming, y'know?

I think WTK hits the nail on the head with a couple of points. The 'better user interface' may be a pie in the sky, though - there's limitations to how far you can push a booru setup - but it may be worth spitballing to see what could be included. Tag blacklist rather than filters has been on a few people's mutant wishlists for a while (mine included) so, without wanting to sound petty, I am genuinely curious about what it would take to implement something like that.

Coding costs money and Giantessbooru is free to use. There's a weird overlap here! Has a donation button been considered? I know I've definitely gotten more than a cup of coffee's worth of entertainment out of this place over the almost five years I've been signed up - usually from the comments section, but I digress...

Finally, that code of conduct. It wasn't until I wanted to scream and shout and throw a tantrum that I realised there is nothing official in place to stop me calling, say, iswear a 'bitch-ass jive punk' if I wanted to. Obviously it's not a screaming priority that needs to be put into place immediately, but anywhere there's a bunch of people getting together with words on the internet I think there's a strong case for a visible, accessible list of clear and easily interpreted rules to refer to when you want to grab someone and toss them into the volcano.

tl;dr whoops, but also not whoops for different reasons.

Honestly when it comes to these kinds of situations, it doesn't matter how its handled, there will always be people who get angry how the situation is handled (Like Mark said above "damned if you do and damned if you don't.")
I don't agree with the fact the picture being taken down just to remove all the comment chain (Which was pretty tame for a internet argument.) However I also don't blame the mods for the deletion when they are just trying to keep the peace.

I have been saying this for awhile now but once again I will say it again because I truly believe it could help the site dramatically, that this site needs to be updated with new features. Some of them should be:
1) A user blocking system. So many arguments and flame wars brake out on this site (Normally from the same few people) that it would quickly end alot of the flame wars before they even start if we can just block the users we would not like to see comments from.
2) A tag blocking system. Once again I see snide comments on pictures just because they don't like the subject matter (which in turn start arguments that really shouldn't have even begun).
3) Better user interface. Right now this website runs pretty much on bare bones and it has been since the beginning. I mean whats the point of the voting buttons on these comments if you also cant vote down? Its like the stupid youtube comment thumbs up but no thumbs down. Also this might just affect me, but a "delete all" option for the PM's should be implemented. Awhile ago some troll spammed a few users "including me" for like 2 hours and as such, I have a little more then 700 PMs that have been sitting there cause all I could do is delete them one by one which is pretty ridiculous.

Also this is not a necessity but I do believe it would help alot, I think there should be a chat room feature implemented. This would end the need (for the most part) to lock down comment threads or out right delete the picture in its entirely due to the fact that the users who want to argue could just go to the chat room where they would not be forever permanent on a comment chain. Also more users may feel like they can join in the conversations in a chat room, rather a comment chain.

Except Kanahebi also made this image in 2013 http://giantessbooru.com/post/view/169375?search=Kanahebi
He clearly has the skill, he just didn't want to put in the effort.

(And yeah, I almost wanted to be a mod here as well, but the current policies of censoring/purging images en masse turned me off from that. It also kinda turned me off from uploading when I uploaded like 50-60 images when I first joined, and only like 35ish got approved, then the ones that WERE approved got purged down to less than half that.)
Also, @Amy, do you believe I did anything wrong? I defended one user from another who tried to paint him/her in a negative light. Then the person comes around and calls me uneducated, entitled, brags about a (most likely fictional) education, tells me I'm wrong (which I don't feel that I was, given that I wasn't attacking him in my initial post, merely defending the other user), acts as if he did nothing wrong in being a jerk to another user, then eventually does a 180 and ADMITS he's wrong, but spews out all that garbage anyways because he wants "me to know what it feels like". Plus he "wasn't going to reply to increase my frustration" so what difference did it make? At least I made things a little entertaining with my rebuke of that person.

What I'm confused about is why the image had to be removed? Couldn't just the commented be locked/deleted?
At the end of the day, porn images> comments on a porn site. (Unless the comments provide sources and whatnot)
