This is actually really well written when you think about it, and not totally as demeaning or unrealistic (psychologically) as one might first mistake it. I definitely think giants and tinies need more impressive relationships than they generally do, but this one has a lot of deep story potential. I wouldn't normally endorse such a BDSM work where there's already so much of that around.

This implies that there are other's outside the scene. I think it is quite possible with those predatory eyes that they are looking at someone larger. If the main subject thought they were going to have bragging rights to lord over some one, then they might have that same look. I think it's much more believe-able than sharks-and-minnows-taken-too-far, simply because of where the main subject here is looking.

Some stuff gets water to steam like that even when it's not hot, tomatoe soup is a good example, not sure if any teas do that. From the gentle smile on that giant and the fact they look like they are angled more or less like they jumped/dived, I would be reluctant to call this a depiction of cruelty. Just me though.
